I did not realize the problem of small memory until my computer became slower and slower. After I could not bear the blunt computer, I began to look for some efficient methods to optimize memory.

After consulting a great many experts and references, I conclude the most efficient and easiest ways to optimize memory to improve PC performance.

There are generally five ways to optimize Windows.

1. Regulate the volume of cache area. Windows can put the data which will be read later in cache area so that CPU can read them more quickly. Thus if you set cache in memory, data can be read obviously quickly. You can either let Windows set the volume of cache automatically or set it manually according to your own need.

You can follow the following steps to regulate it to optimize memory.

* Right click on “My Computer”
* Single click on “Properties”
* Single click on “File system” in the label of “Property”
* Drag “Optimization of Pre-reading” in the label of “Hard Disk” and set term of pre-reading
* Set the proportion of cache in the column of “Main functions”

2. Optimize the data in memory. Delete all the unnecessary short-cut icons on the desk top and icons in the taskbar. If the resource is deficient, you can try a memory optimizer tool. Under the recommendation of a friend, I tried Registry Winner. With the function of “Memory Optimizer”, it can manage and optimize the memory after a single click, and optimize startup programs and Windows system at the same time. I tried a lot of software, however, as a PC novice, I could not deal with the complex operation and instruction. Different from other software, Registry Winner is more convenient and more efficient. It makes my PC start and run much faster.

3. Keep watch on memory. Choose “Help/About Windows” in any document window, then you can see how much of memory is being used. You should regulate the memory if the memory resource is less than 60%, or it will seriously influence PC speed and function.

4. Release memory in time. Release memory means releasing some date from the memory. There are two ways to release memory.

* Restart your computer.
* Close the running but unnecessary programs, including those running in the background.

Attention: printing in the background occupies a lot of room.

5. Improve the function of other components. Other components of computer (for example, CPU, hard disk and video random access memory) can also influence the efficiency of the whole system.

If you want to optimize memory, just follow the above steps. These easy steps will keep your PC healthy
